Millennial Money: Planning for Now, Protecting Your Future
Christine Lee + Ross I. Berger

Feeling overwhelmed by money? You’re not alone – financial stress is real, and in today’s economy, social pressures, social media, and rising costs don’t make it easier. This workshop is designed to help you understand you’re not alone, walk away with a clear path to start building financial confidence, and feel good about your money!

This workshop will also include an introduction to estate planning designed specifically for young professionals in their 20s and 30s. You'll learn why estate planning isn’t just for the wealthy or elderly—and how having a few key documents in place can protect you and your loved ones in unexpected situations. We’ll cover the basics, including wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives, and explain how things like account ownership, beneficiary designations, and even your digital life (think social media and online banking) fit into the picture.

This event is intended for Athenaeum Student & Young Friends members only.

Ross I. Berger is an estate planning attorney at Offit Kurman, a full-service national law firm. Ross advises individuals and families on a wide range of personal matters, including estate and gift tax planning, family business succession, charitable giving, and wealth preservation. Ross devotes a large portion of his practice to working with young professionals on setting up foundational estate plans and often serves as a general legal advisor to families and family businesses. Before becoming an attorney, Ross worked as an analyst at a global investment bank and managed operations at two early-stage technology startups.

Christine Lee is a financial advisor dedicated to making wealth management approachable, not intimidating – focusing on building trust, clarity, and lasting confidence in every client relationship, one smart decision at a time. From her experience with some of the nation’s most established families to teaching financial literacy in local middle school classrooms, Christine brings the same level of care, clarity, and competence to everyone she works with. Originally from New Hampshire, she now lives in Philadelphia and enjoys working on her fixer upper on the weekends.
