The Athenaeum's summer movie matinee series concludes with My Fair Lady, the breathtaking musical extravaganza that won 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, starring Audrey Hepburn in the role of Eliza Doolittle, a sassy, working-class London street vendor, and Rex Harrison as the elitist Professor Higgins. The film was adapted from the 1956 Lerner and Loewe stage musical based on George Bernard Shaw's 1913 stage play Pygmalion.
