PI-Philly, in partnership with the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia, is happy to invite you to “the
origins of the Universe”, a unique journey that begins in the Atacama Desert in Chile, passes through the
laboratories of the United States, and arrives in Antarctica.
Our speaker is Dr. Federico Nati – Experimental Astrophysicist working at University of Milano-Bicocca,
in close collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Nati will cover the risky and ambitious
missions in Antarctica between 2018 and 2020 to investigate the origins of the stars and the Cosmos.
Moderator of the event is Michele Limon, Systems Engineer, Department of Physics and Astronomy,
University of Pennsylvania.
