How Conspiracy Impacts Our Built Environments
Natalie Gearin
Natalie Gearin, the Athenaeum's Membership Associate, will share her research on the aesthetics of online conspiracy communities, the history of conspiracy in art, and how these phenomena come to bear in physical space--from the US Capitol Building to New York City apartments and beyond. This talk emerged from Natalie's research into the visual language of online conspiracy in 2021, culminating in a paper titled "The Final Understanding: Interpreting the Aesthetics of Online Conspiracy."
