International Design Series | Nature-Culture, Space, Point: A Danish American Design Perspective
Eva Christine Jensen

Denmark, though a small Scandinavian country, shares a long history of cultural exchange with the United States. Danish culture has influenced the American culture in successive waves, just as American culture has made an impression on Denmark. Stimulated by Copenhagen’s urban development over recent decades, Danish design and architecture have significantly impacted both Denmark and the international community. Can recent learnings from Copenhagen’s urban development and the Danish design approach teach us some valuable insights on the future urban development of cities and how we shape the built environment in the 21st century?

Part of The Athenæum's new monthly international design series presented in partnership with the Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia.

Light refreshments to follow.
