Join us for an intimate performance by two of this generation's most exciting and talented violinists. The concert will be followed by light refreshments and a meet-and-greet with the performers.

Sameer Agrawal is a violinist from Chicago, Illinois. He studies with Midori Goto at the Curtis Institute of Music, where he holds the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation Fellowship.
Sameer graduated, after five years, as a Merit Fellow at the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago, a pre-college training program for advanced string and piano students. He studied for
6 years with Sang Mee Lee, and began studying violin at age 5 with Suzuki teacher Debbie Crosser. Sameer made his solo orchestral debut at age 12 with the Northeastern Illinois
University Symphony Orchestra and has also appeared with other orchestras including Canton Symphony Orchestra, Oistrakh Symphony Orchestra of Chicago, and the Music Institute of
Chicago Academy Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared multiple times on WFMT’s Introductions, including a full live studio recital in 2022, and was spotlighted on From
the Top’s, Daily Joy. Sameer recently performed a spotlight recital at Center Stage Strings, was featured on the Young Steinway Concert Series and was the featured soloist on the Stars of
Tomorrow series. Sameer has participated in masterclasses and guest coachings with many luminaries including Hilary Hahn, Riccardo Muti, Donald Weilerstein, and Ani Kavafian. He was
co-concertmaster of the 2022 Chicago Youth in Music Festival Orchestra under Riccardo Muti and Lina Gonzalez-Granados.
Violinist Boha Moon was born in South Korea in 2006 and grew up in New Jersey and in Europe. She has been studying with Professor Ida Kavafian at Curtis Institute of Music since 2023. She
previously studied with Prof. Pierre Amoyal(Mozarteum University Precollege, Josef Spacek, in Prague, Prof. Nam-yun Kim at the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts and Prof. Anat
Malkin Almani at the Manhattan School of Music Pre College. Boha Moon has won first prize at many Korean and international competitions including the Crescendo International Competition
(2016, USA), the Singapore Violin Festival Competition (2019), the Ishikawa music award (2019, Japan), Euroasia International competition(2020) and Kocian violin competition (2022).
She was selected as “The Young Soloist” by Sonus Arts in 2021 and performed a solo recital in Switzerland. She was selected as ‘Young Artist of the Year’ at the German National Festival and
performed with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2023. She has performed at Carnegie Hall (winners concert, 2017) and has participated in masterclasses with renowned
violinists Mihaela Martin, Klaidi Sahatci, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Philip Draganov, Ani Schnarch, Martin Beaver and Koichiro Harada. Boha Moon spent the summer at Ravinia Steans Institute
and a festival and recital in Prague, Czech Republic.
