This NEW six-week series is an opportunity for artists in any stage of their development – from beginner to experienced – and at any level of confidence to learn and draw together in The Athenaeum, in Washington Square and from a model. Each session will include a brief discussion and demonstration, time to practice on one's own and a review at the end.

Participants bring their own materials. Click on the "Download Details" link for suggestions for drawing media and paper and a little advice for new or hesitant artists.

Michael Neff is from a family with numerous artists and artisans. He has been drawing and painting for fifty-five years. He is a graduate of Cambridge University and the Graduate School of Fine Arts of the University of Pennsylvania. He is Emeritus Professor of Intellectual Heritage in Temple University and was on the founding faculty of the Crefeld School. His paintings appear regularly in local publications and can be seen on Instagram @paintinginthepark.
