HOW TO ATHENAEUM: Greater Philadelphia GeoHistory Network
Kristina Wilson

Do you know about the Greater Philadelphia GeoHistory Network? The Athenaeum and its partners in the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL) developed this online repository of geographically organized historical information about Philadelphia, its geography, its buildings, and its people. The site contains thousands of old maps, property atlases, city directories, industrial site surveys, and other items documenting the history and development of the city from the 1600s through today.

Come get an introduction to GeoHistory and step-by-step lessons in searching and exploring the resources it contains.

Already familiar with GeoHistory? Bring questions! Kristina will share tips and tricks to make the most of the site.

Please bring your own laptop or tablet to follow along!

Archivist Kristina Wilson joined the Athenaeum staff as the Gladys Brooks Curator of Architecture in February 2024, after working at The Curtis Institute of Music and Longwood Gardens.

This is a free event.
