Classical Guitar Soiree: Lukasz Kuropaczewski (Poland)

 

Social hour starts at 5:00pm.

Lukasz Kuropaczewski, “an amiable bear of a soloist” as the Washington Post portrayed him, “is the new megastar of the classical guitar.” Lukasz is in great demand as a recitalist and soloist with orchestras, and he is invited to perform in numerous venues around the globe each year. Lukasz is currently on the Kunst University Graz, Austria faculty and Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland, holding a doctorate degree in performance. He was decorated with the “Meritorius for Polish Culture” medal for his distinguished cultural contribution, awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland.

The Classical Guitar Soirée Recital Series at the Athenæum of Philadelphia, offered in partnership with the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, is a unique opportunity to increase your knowledge and appreciation of classical guitar music. A soirée is a lively and intimate gathering that enhances the participants' understanding of the music through conversation and live performances.
