5 Things You Need To Know About Collecting Contemporary Art
Alex Conner

Join gallerist Alex Conner for a brief overview of the global, national and regional interactions of the Contemporary Art space over the past several years, followed with a Q&A focused upon art and collecting.

Alex Conner is the owner and director of Commonweal gallery in Rittenhouse, which exhibits Philadelphia-based artists whose works reflect topics important to our city while actively engaging with regional, national and global conversations.  Over the past 15 years Alex has worked in education at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Barnes Foundation, helped found a ceramic tableware company whose wares can be found in hundreds of restaurants globally, has run a independent consultancy for digital advertising and marketing and founded Philly Stewards, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the centralization of information about Philadelphia's art ecosystem.
