On Thursday, October 19, The Athenaeum of Philadelphia and Kreilick Conservation, LLC, are being honored by Preservation Pennsylvania with a Leadership Award for Stewardship for exceptional stewardship efforts by an individual or group on behalf of a significant historic resource (The Athenaeum of Philadelphia’s National Historic Landmark building) at its 2023 Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Awards.
Join our executive director, board members and other Athenaeum members for the awards ceremony and reception in Harrisburg (17 awards recipients this year, including The Athenaeum). State Representative Mary Isaacson’s office will present The Athenaeum with a citation during the ceremony.
Before the event, join us for a special tour of the State Capitol, arranged by Representative Isaacson’s office, including the famed Violet Oakley murals.
Schedule:
1:45 pm: Meet at entrance of the State Capitol to go through security
2 pm: Tour of State Capitol (approx. 30 minutes)
3 pm – 7 pm: 2023 Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Awards at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg
